Major Upgrades for finalRender Stage-1, ThinkingParticles 2.0

(New Orleans - August 2, 2005) - Turbo Squid, home of the world's largest collection of royalty-free 3D assets and worldwide publisher for the Autodesk® Certified Animation Plug-in Program (ACAP), today announced new upgrades for two ACAPs developed by cebas Computer, GmbH.

finalRender Stage-1 , the best selling global illumination rendering systems for 3ds Max, has a new service pack, SP3 . SP3 brings the latest in Micro Triangle Displacement technology to 3ds Max allowing users to create long, thin spikes with full GI rendering at blazing fast speeds. SP3 also supports ZBrush 2 displacement maps from Pixelogic. SP3 is a free upgrade for registered users of finalRender Stage-1.

finalRender Stage-1 Release 2.0 will be announced and demonstrated at the show. This incorporates a brand new (4th generation) GI engine which delivers unparalleled performance and stability when rendering complex animations.

finalRender Stage-2 for Maya and CINEMA 4D will also be presented at the show. Based on industry standards, finalRender Stage-2 will deliver cebas' most robust Global Illumination engine and a highly flexible shader-tree system to the CINEMA 4D and Maya communities.

ThinkingParticles 2.0 Service Pack 1 , a free upgrade for TP2 registered customers, will be demonstrated at the show. SP1 includes full integration of the NOVODEXT physics system that allows hardware accelerated particle systems and real-time collision detection by simply plugging in the upcoming accelerator PCI card.

cebas products will be demonstrated at SIGGRAPH 2005 in the following booths:

  • Turbo Squid Booth #1051
  • Autodesk Booth #1700
  • Maxon Booth #913
